The benefits of soft play for children

Soft play gives children the opportunity to develop important physical skills

Our Soft-play equipment is designed to support children during the development of key motor skills, including stepping, climbing, jumping, crawling, bouncing, throwing, balancing etc. These skills are needed for later life so it’s important that children have the opportunity to practice them from a young age.

Soft play creates a safe environment for children

Our Soft play equipment is cushioned with rounded corners and is the right height, so your child can safely climb without the risk of getting hurt. Safety mats are used at all times.

Soft play gives children the chance to develop social skills

Soft play is a great opportunity to encourage your child to interact with others and to make friends whilst having fun.

As an Ofsted registered Childminder, I follow the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework. This covers the stages of a child’s development from Birth through to the end of the reception year in school.

The  EYFS sets standards that all early years providers must meet to ensure that children learn and develop well and are kept healthy and safe. It promotes teaching and learning to ensure children are ready for school and gives children the broad range of knowledge and skills that provide the right foundation for good future progress through school and life.

The EYFS learning and development requirements comprise:

• The seven areas of learning and development.

• The early learning goals, which summarise the knowledge, skills and understanding that all young children should have gained by the end of the Reception year.

• The assessment requirements (when and how practitioners must assess children’s achievements, and when and how they should discuss children’s progress with parents and/or carers).
